DAY 1: ARRIVED IN HANOI (D)
Upon arrival at the Vietnam airport after a long flight, you will be greeted by our driver and guide who will take you to the hotel. Our staff will wait to greet you as well as send you an invoice and schedule.
You can relax or explore the neighborhood. Until the evening, we will take you to dinner and then we will go to a special new show: The Quintessence of Tonkin (held on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)
Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 2: HANOI – SAPA – TOPAS ECOLODGE (B)
From 6:30 – 7:00 AM, you will commence from your Hanoi hotel with Topas Mountain Express for a 5 hours transfer to Topas Ecolodge. After checking in your bungalow, you will enjoy the beautiful and peaceful view of the surrounding mountains and valleys from your private balcony.
You will start the afternoon cycling trip by following the main road for three kilometres to Lech village of the Red Dao minority, enjoying the magnificent valley view on the way. Here you will leave your bikes and take a short walk on dirt road to visit a traditional Red Dao family and experience the culture of the minority villagers who are living peacefully in the same way as their ancestors.
Back at the parking place, you will take a further ride to the Moi village and learn how the women in their doorways are doing their embroidery, which the Red Dao people are very famous for. From the village, you head back to the Lodge.
In the evening you may want to book a traditional Red Dao herbal bath at the lodge’s newly opened spa.

DAY 3: HIKING TO THE REMOTE AREA OF SAPA (B,L)
Enjoy a great breakfast and prepare for today´s walk. At 9:00 AM, you will commence the excursion with a transfer deeper into Hoang Lien National Park to the trek starting point near Sin Chai village. You are now “off the beaten track” enjoying beautiful views of high mountains, waterfalls and the deep valleys. The trails will soon lead you to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu, here you will meet the villagers, enjoy a cup of green tea in their house, and learn about their daily way of life. Leaving the village behind, you will turn into a small dirt trail and soon be inspired by the marvelous view of the rice valley dotted with bamboo huts, which used by local farmers as overnight lodge in harvesting days.
Passing the rice terraces and a river you will walk on a quiet road for a while before arriving at Nam Cang village. Your lunch is served at Topas Riverside Lodge, with jungle behind the lodge and river in front.
Nam Cang village locates at the most remote area of Sapa. The Red Dao women wear some of the most colorful and diverse costumes of all Vietnam’s ethnic groups. Herbal bath, local medicine and embroidery are some of the things that the Red Dao are very skilled at. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore around the village and learn how the local villagers make writing rice paper, jewelry and embroidery. You may also want to take a swim in the river.
At 14:50, you will have a transfer back to Topas Ecolodge. The traditional Red Dao herbal bath is highly recommended if you missed the chance yesterday.

DAY 4: SAPA – HANOI (B)
At 9:00, you will take a transfer by shuttle bus to Sapa town. You will now get on your bike and take a short tour around the old Hill Station town and its lake.
You will then take a descent into the Muong Hoa valley and its national park, observing the fantastic scenery of mountains and rice paddy fields along the way. You will get off the road and visit a Black H’mong village and explore the though mountain tribe, famous for their special skills in making agricultural tools, musical instruments, hemp production and indigo dying.
After a great ride you are now back at Topas Ecolodge where you have time for relaxing.
Topas Mountain Express departs from Sapa at 14:00; from Topas Ecolodge at 15:00 and returns you to your hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 5: HANOI – HALONG (B,L,D)
08:00 – 08:30 Pick-up at hotel and start the 3 hour-and-a-half drive to Hong Gai Tourist Wharf, check in Oriental Sails JSC’s private waiting hall – The OS Lounge.
12:15 – 12:45 Embark on Starlight Cruise by transfer boat. Listen to cruise briefing and receive room key.
13:00 – 15:30 Savor a delectable lunch as Starlight Cruise further along the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay, heading to Vung Vieng fishing village – one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen.
– Option 1: Take a bamboo rowing boat trip around Vung Vieng Fishing Village
– Option 2: Take kayak and go kayaking by yourself with help and instruction of tour guide around the Village.
17:30 – 18:00 Return to Starlight Cruise and have bath then relax as the sun starts to set. Enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar and on the sun deck while cooking demonstration is organizing.
19:00 Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, night squid fishing or just laze around. Singing and dancing activities are available till 22h00.

DAY 6: HALONG BAY – HANOI (D / A)
06:30 – 07:00 Start your day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.
07:00 – 09:00 Catch morning view of seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast while cruising toward Thien Canh Son Cave.
– Visit Thien Canh Son Cave – the medium size and less visited cave in Bai Tu Long Bay
09:30 Check-out room. Luggage can be delivered to the reception area.
09:30 – 11:00 Head back to the Harbor. Have early lunch on board. Disembark Starlight Cruise at around 12h00.
12:00 – 16:30 Transfer back to Hanoi and trip finishes at the hotel around 16h30
DAY 7: HANOI – DA NANG – HOIAN (B)
After breakfast, you will be free until the transfer to the airport to take a flight to Da Nang
Continue to the riverside city of Hoi An, an important commercial port during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and officially listed as a World Heritage Site.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, walk around the ancient city of Hoi An and explore its treasures:
Temple of Quan Cong: the brave and loyal Chinese general.
Phuc Kien Pagoda, this is the best-known meeting room of the ancient city. The Fukyayanos were Chinese merchants who arrived in Hoi An in great numbers, at least in the seventeenth century. That was the reason why all the mentioned gods were worshiped in this pagoda after the collapse of the ancient pagoda.

DAY 8: HOIAN FREE DAY (B)
You will have a free day in Hoi An. You can choose to relax in the resort with spa service, visit the city, enjoy some specialties or book a tour to Cham Island, where there is a beautiful coastline and a view of coral under the sea.
DAY 9: HOIAN – NHA TRANG – HON TAM ISLAND (B)
We will catch the flight at noon to Nha Trang, one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam. However, unlike the other tours that lead you to this city crowded with tourists, we travel to an island 30km off the coast to enjoy nature, the sea, the sand, the trees and the sky.
DAY 10 -11: FREE DAY IN HON TAM ISLAND (B)
The water here is blue with the white sand coastline. The resort that we choose for you is very friendly with the bungalows and modern equipment, the dining area with fresh seafood.
You can also take part in adventure games on the water, or simply sunbathe for a healthy skin.
DAY 12: NHA TRANG – HOCHIMINH/HANOI DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast, free time before your transfer to the airport.
End of service.
